Sign Frame Formats for Retail Stores
We manufacture several types of sign frames designed to work in different retail environments. We make small countertop drop-in frames, which are ideal for a wide range of placements including checkout counters, product displays, and service desks. We also manufacture sign frames mounted on bases, allowing signage to stand independently near merchandise or within store aisles. For flexible installations, we offer sign frames with telescopic uprights, allowing the height of the frame to be adjusted as needed. For permanent merchandising programs, we offer sign frames with fixed uprights that position signage consistently above products or displays.

Sign Frames for Store Fixture Standards
Many retail stores use fixture standards as part of their merchandising system. We can manufacture custom brackets designed to fit your store’s existing standards. These brackets allow frames to install tool-free, making it easy for store associates to deploy new merchandising, messaging, or communication across your store fleet. Frame Manufacturing and Graphic Printing

Choosing the Right Frame for Your Graphic Media
Drop-in frames are designed to support a specific thickness of graphic media. The appropriate frame depends on the thickness and rigidity of the graphic media.

Thin Paper Graphics
For thin paper graphics, with or without a lens, smaller frames such as Sign Backs, Framettes, and Perfex frames may be a good option, particularly in smaller sizes.

Styrene Graphics (.020 – .060)
As graphics get larger, thicker media may be preferred. Materials such as .020 styrene, .030 styrene, .040 styrene, and .060 styrene work well with Perfex frames and LF sign holders, which offer attractive frame profiles and support a wide range of sizes.

Rigid Boards (3 mm – 3/16")
For more rigid graphic materials, common options include 3 mm expanded PVC, 3/16" foam core, 3/16" foam board, and 3/16" UltraBoard. These materials are ideal for use with Perfect sign frames, which feature a 3/16" internal depth that allows these graphics to fit securely while presenting a clean retail appearance.

Thick Graphic Panels (Up to 1/4")
For graphics thicker than 3 mm, such as 6 mm expanded PVC (Sintra), 1/4" Falconboard, 1/4" foam core, or other 1/4" rigid graphic panels, Monster Frames and LF Sign Frames can be an ideal solution. These frames feature a ¼-inch internal depth, allowing them to accept graphics up to a quarter inch thick while still allowing room for a protective lens if desired.

Optional Lenses
Drop-in frames typically do not include lenses, but lenses can be quoted upon request. We stock both matte overlays and clear overlays, and for larger frames thicker lens materials may be recommended. We are happy to quote these options based on your application.

Wheeled Poster Frames
Wheeled poster frames are ideal for retail environments where signage needs to move easily. The most popular option is the Hercules frame, which features a heavy-duty steel base, four locking ball-bearing casters, and attractive oval uprights. Our LF frames can also be manufactured in wheeled versions using the WHL model suffix. LF wheeled frames offer a tilt-and-roll design, with wheels on one side so you can simply tilt the frame toward the wheels and carefully roll the display behind you.
