Flatbed Printing
Flatbed printing refers to laying a graphic onto a flat stationary bed. The printing head then moves back and forth over the graphic media, printing onto the substrate. Leaving the graphic media in one place helps make Flatbed printing the highest quality printing commercially available. Our flatbed prints are beautiful enough to hang in your living room with viewing from 6” away. For commercial projects, we print at a higher speed still with tremendous quality. Our flatbed printing has proven itself time and time again with nationwide rollouts for some of the largest brands and retailers in North America.
Flatbed printing is the highest quality of large format printing for boards and other similar substrates. Smaller printers will print onto rolls and then laminate onto a board. That means with every print, they risk having air bubbles, ripples, or poor adhesion resulting in delamination whereby the face comes off the board. By direct printing right onto the board, we eliminate all of those issues. This is the rite way to print boards, though it requires a significant investment in equipment.
Flatbed printing really shines when it comes to large format double sided printing. The graphic staying in one place means we can perfectly align the front and back of prints to ensure the highest quality.
We offer 6 color flatbed printing today, with CMYKcm, adding light cyan and light magenta, offering photo realistic skin tones even for up close viewing of prints.
Spot Varnish capabilities mean we can add a semi-gloss, gloss, or drop gloss effect to select areas of a print. Spot gloss can be extremely impactful, bringing attention to selected areas of the print.
White printing means we can print on a wide range of substrates, including onto clear materials and metallic films or sheets. We can also offer day night prints, where the same graphic print looks equally great when backlit and when non-backlit.
