Outdoor Printing
Are you looking to use printed Testrite media outdoors? First, please make sure to share with your sales person your intention to use the product outdoors so that we can recommend the right product for your needs.
A number of our graphic medias are compatible with outdoor use, including Coroplast, Expanded PVC, Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) among others.
Our UV Printing, both roll-to-roll and Flatbed, is expected to last at least 3 years outdoors before the inks begin to fade. Note every outdoor application is different, so 3 years is NOT a guarantee and other elements of your solution may not last as long as the inks. This ink durability can be extended with lamination. However, most customers choose to skip the lamination process given the ink’s fade resistance.
Dye Sublimation fabric graphics are NOT intended for long term outdoor use. Dye sublimation prints are not UV resistant, and the sun will fade prints markedly over the medium to long term. Dye sublimation can be used outdoors in select situations, including for short term events like a weekend music festival, provided the frames can handle the outdoor elements (e.g. welded steel barricades designed to be used outdoors). If you intend to use dye sublimation printing outdoors, we recommend discussing your needs with our sales team prior to ordering. Our dye sublimation printing and sewing is not warrantied for outdoor use.
