Pillowcase Graphic Prints
Let’s start with what is a pillowcase graphic? A Pillowcase graphic is fabric sewn into the shape of a pillowcase or sock, with one side open. Pillowcase graphics slip over the frame using the open side of the graphic. Then by simply pulling down the graphic, the graphic can be installed to fully or partially cover the graphic stand, often an aluminum frame.
The best printing to pair with pillowcase graphic applications are dye sublimation printed stretch fabrics. With dye sublimation, the print becomes part of the fabric, not a surface treatment. That means that as the printed material stretches across the frame, there’s no risk of the ink flaking or cracking.
Pillowcases are an extremely popular application for Testrite’s Hackensack NJ in house dye sublimation printing, brining together our industry leading dye sublimation printing and our in house sewing department staffed by experienced graphic seamstresses. We have experience sewing flat pillowcases as for pillowcase banner stands, including Testrite’s Harmony Banner Stand (up to 36” W), Visual Graphic Stands (up to 48” W), and Straight Flatwalls (up to 360” W standard). We are also experienced sewing for pillowcase shapes including fabric pillowcase circles, cubes, and rectangular structures with openings for eye bolts.
As a hardware manufacturer, we can tightly integrate the hardware with the printing, making sure each works perfectly together.
Pillowcase graphics can be made with a number of different closure mechanisms on the open side. For smaller stands, a simple hem on the bottom may be enough to provide a clean finished look. For larger tension fabric graphic prints, we often sew a zipper into the pillowcase graphic. These zippered stretch fabric graphics are easy to install, ship compact, and are durable. We use genuine YKK® Zippers, because we aim for the highest quality in everything we do. We can also sew in hook/loop at the bottom of our stretch fabric graphics where appropriate.
