Flatbed Printing

Flatbed printing refers to laying a graphic onto a flat stationary bed. The printing head then moves back and forth over the graphic media, printing directly onto the substrate. Leaving the graphic media in one place helps make flatbed printing the highest quality printing commercially available.

Our flatbed prints are beautiful enough to hang in your living room with viewing from just 6" away. For commercial projects, we print at higher speeds while maintaining tremendous quality. Our flatbed printing has proven itself time and time again with nationwide rollouts for some of the largest brands and retailers in North America.

Why Flatbed Printing?

Flatbed printing is the highest quality of large format printing for boards and other rigid substrates. Smaller printers often print onto adhesive vinyl and laminate it to a board. That process introduces the possibility of air bubbles, ripples, poor adhesion, and eventual delamination.

By printing directly onto the board, we eliminate all of those issues. This is the right way to print boards, although it requires a significant investment in equipment.

Flatbed printing also shines when producing double-sided graphics. Since the substrate never moves during printing, we can perfectly align the front and back of every print for exceptional registration and accuracy.

Advanced Printing Capabilities

We offer 6-color flatbed printing using CMYK plus Light Cyan and Light Magenta (CMYKcm), producing smooth gradients, exceptional detail, and photo-realistic color even for close viewing.

Spot varnish capabilities allow us to apply semi-gloss, gloss, or drop-gloss finishes to selected areas of a print. Spot gloss creates striking visual contrast while drawing attention to logos, graphics, and other important design elements.

White printing allows us to print on a wide range of specialty substrates, including clear acrylic, metallic films, brushed aluminum, polycarbonate, and many other materials. White ink also makes possible day/night graphics that look equally vibrant whether viewed normally or illuminated from behind.

Because the graphic remains perfectly stationary throughout the printing process, our flatbed printer consistently produces outstanding color, sharp detail, and exceptional repeatability from the first print to the last.

Whether you're producing retail displays, POP graphics, museum exhibits, branded environments, architectural signage, or custom installations, Testrite's flatbed printing delivers premium quality without compromise.

When quality matters, think Testrite.
